Our waitress was great. Food was excellent. Best fish and chips I've ever had. It looked so good I forgot to get a picture and dug right in! Never had to wait for refills, everyone was friendly. 1st time there and it will definitely not be our last. Highly recommended giving it a shot.

We had an impeccable meal here. It was delicious from start to finish. The wait staff was great and tactful. I will surely recommend and return.

Always great food, prepared correctly, quick service, clean, friendly & helpful service. A bit pricey but the food is always 5 star and prepared correctly. We enjoy you probably would too.

Our visit was 4 Jan 2025, table of 5 to celebrate three birthdays. (5th, 7th, 10th). Our visit was around 1pm. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Food came out hot and was great, except for my sister's dish that came out with a strand of hair on the plate. The dish was taken back as soon as it was brought out and apologies were given but once you have that view, it takes away of your desire to want anything else they bring out. That dish is not pictured and two of us had the same dish. The rest of us did enjoy our dishes, I ended up taken the new sub plate back home to NC with me, put in freezer and ate it later. It was still good. The environment was pleasant, clean, and you could hear your guests at the table. If in the area, would come back. Mistakes do happen and they did their best to correct the mistake.

We came here New Year’s Eve around 6pm and was told it would be an hour wait. Our wait was slightly over an hour but well worth. First, I must credit the fact our 2 yr old did not throw a tantrum waiting greatly added to a positive experience but I can’t leave her a review lol so let’s talk about JB Dawson’s. Once we were seated in our booth (requested) we were immediately greeted by Jocelyn (hope I spelled correctly) whom was upbeat and friendly and took our drink order, presented the NYE Specials and asked if we wanted bread (YES PLEASE!) When she returned we knew exactly what we wanted and placed our order: APPS: Spin Dip ENTREE 1: Ribs & Tenders Combo w. Fries & Caesar Salad ENTREE 2: Boston Baked Haddock w. Loaded Baked Potato & Field Green Salad KIDS ENTREE: Chicken Tender Bites w. Fries Cocktail: Red Ruby Slipper I can say that all our food came out as described and desired! Notably, the ribs were succulent and had the PERFECT amount of char on the undercarriage. The haddock was cooked perfectly for the delicate fish it is and was a wonderful switch up from the usual seafood choices typically offered in the area. (Note: JB Dawson’s always has a knack for doing special/limited time fish options really well) The cocktail was also a tasty libation for the occasion Jocelyn continued to check up on us ensuring drinks were refilled and that everything was up to par during our entire dining experience. We declined dessert this time ONLY because we literally were stuffed to the brim as our meals were all soooo great! (There isn’t a wrong choice with their desserts though) As usual (for us) it was another great meal and experience at JB Dawson’s and it was a great New Year’s Eve spent dining with my family here!

Absolutetly love the upscale atmosphere but reasonable pricing. Menu was diverse and the drink list was very creative. We would go back again and again...except it's over an hour away from home.

The burger and fries I got was a bit too salty for me personally, I tried to eat a few bites but I couldn’t. I asked them if it was possible I could get another with no salt. They said it was possible without seasoning which was possibly what made it salty. I said okay, the manager also came by to check on me which was really nice. They remade my burger and fries exactly how I wanted it well done with no salt. Two different servers also came by to see if I wanted anything I told one that I was waiting for my waiter and she said “it’s okay I can still help you” wow, anywhere else they’d be like “ah wait for your waiter, I’m not your waiter or I’d get your waiter” lolol Great service and very friendly, definitely recommend this place base on the food quality and service. What more could you ask for from a restaurant? Had to write a review because I was really satisfied.

The ahi tuna was seared to perfection—melt-in-your-mouth quality with a bold sesame crust, laid over crisp, colorful slaw that had just the right amount of zing. The ribs? Fall-off-the-bone tender and glazed in a rich, smoky BBQ sauce that made every bite count. And that shrimp cocktail? Let’s just say it was chilling in style, served ice-cold in a martini glass with enough flair to make James Bond jealous. If you’re looking for a place that hits the sweet spot between classy and comfortable—with food that punches well above its weight—JB Dawson’s is it. We’ll definitely be back!
